Spoken word artist Will Richey and visual artist Solange Mariel founded an event called "Artists' Night Out" usually held at Solange's painting studio in Dallas, Texas. This was an invitational postcard for one of the events. It combines visuals of Will on the mic surrounded by Solange's painting of the band Faint Image playing instrumental music also at one of the events. This was a great event while it lasted, bringing together the best of the best in local and visiting poets, rappers, musicians, performers and artists of all kinds in an underground atmosphere of creative inspiration. No one ever left being untouched.

The Dallas Poetry Slam hosted by RockBaby and Militant X features poets from Dallas and across the United States. J. W. Baz of Chicago, Illinois was featured on this promotional postcard.

I originally made this shot in college using prints, an exacto and a can of spray adhesive. When I discovered Photoshop, I recreated it digitally.

This is another image I originally created in college in print then recreated digitally. Manipulating a photograph that I took in a studio setting, I printed this first then made multiple high-contrast negatives from that print and then printed a second time to form the design. Remember back in in the early 1990&#39;s when there were &quot;X&#39;s&quot; everywhere in support of the movie, &quot;Malcolm X,&quot; by Spike Lee? Well, this was my shot at it. Never made it to a t-shirt, but I love asking people if they can tell what the original image was. Can you tell?
